Project Scope
The Hilton Garden Inn Indianapolis Downtown is a 188-room, 16-story hotel originally completed in 1915 as the Fletcher Savings and Trust Building. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the property blends historic character with modern amenities showcasing key architectural including a grand three-story atrium. The project scope included a comprehensive renovation for relicensing, encompassing exterior enhancements, a redesigned lobby with upgraded walls, floors, and ceilings, as well as complete replacement of all FF&E. Original marble floors, walls, and classic columns, all carefully restored to their former elegance. New graphics were introduced, and a modern shop market experience was created. Public restrooms were completely updated and the food and beverage area was transformed to align with the current Hilton Garden Inn prototype. Meeting rooms and pre-function spaces received entirely new finishes across all surfaces, with refinished millwork throughout. Guestroom and corridor renovations included new finishes and FF&E, reconfigured closet units, and the addition of components required to meet current brand standards. Bathrooms were updated with new surrounds, conversion of all king room tubs to showers, and installation of new RFID door locks.
