Project Scope

Originally constructed in 1914 as a grand banking institution and later transformed into the JW Marriott in 2012, this landmark property stands as a masterpiece of renowned architect Daniel Burnham. Its refined décor and remarkable architectural details—most notably the magnificent domed ceiling of the former bank’s ballroom—imbue the hotel with a sense of enduring history and elegance. The renovation scope encompassed 41,973 square feet of ballroom and meeting spaces, representing a comprehensive upgrade that redefined the property’s event experience. The transformation introduced a refreshed and cohesive aesthetic aligned with the hotel’s broader design enhancements.

Upgrades included new finishes, contemporary lighting, flooring, art installations, paint, and advanced lighting systems, all meticulously curated to blend modern sophistication with the building’s storied architectural heritage.
