Project manage the renovation of 1109 guestrooms in 17 stories over 5 months and 135,000 SF of meeting/ballroom area in 6 weeks without incurring any business interruption and allowing any last-minute opportunities for meeting room space rental.  Scope included complete upgrades to all guestrooms, mechanical fan coils, guest bathrooms, corridors, meeting areas and intricate structural supports for ceiling lighting. The hotel remained open during the renovation.

Rooms were taken out of service in groups of 100 rooms, rolling four floors out of service at a time. Rooms were stripped to drywall, prepped and skimmed for paint. Power and data were relocated for the wall-mounted TVs and brand entertainment system. Fan coils and bath fans were completely disassembled and rebuilt. Guest bathrooms were refitted with new shower sills and doors, vanity tops, electric mirrors/art and new grout.  Finishes included paint and new vinyl.  The Ballroom/meeting rooms were enhanced to meet the Signia brand requirement. The work was accomplished in 24 hour shifts. Special consideration was given to the carpet installation due to the complexity and design pattern required by the brand and ownership.
