Project Scope
Opened in 2006, this project involved the conversion of a four-story, 95-room hotel from the Hotel Indigo brand to the upscale Voco by IHG. Located in Sarasota’s vibrant Rosemary District, the property offers convenient access to the city’s cultural and entertainment hubs. The hotel’s public spaces include 1,084 square feet of meeting space, a spacious, inviting lobby, and a full-service restaurant and lounge. The renovation delivered a comprehensive transformation, elevating the property into a contemporary lifestyle destination that appeals to the growing demand for boutique accommodations in the area. The lobby was completely redesigned with stylish seating vignettes, curated area rugs, decorative lighting, and a new, modern front desk. The bar and restaurant were reimagined with updated artwork, sleek window treatments, and modern furnishings that complement a redesigned bar layout. Meeting and boardrooms received a full refresh, including new carpet, wall finishes, millwork, and furniture, while public restrooms were updated with new vanities, fixtures, and hardware for a refined guest experience. The pool was removed, reshaped and rebuilt to correct existing structural challenges found from the original construction. All guestrooms were fully renovated with updated finishes, furnishings, lighting, and curated local artwork. The fitness center now features new finishes and accessories, completing the hotel’s transformation into a fresh, elevated hospitality experience that reflects both Sarasota’s charm and Voco’s distinctive personality.
