Chris GutierrezProject Manager
Chris is a licensed architect with ten years of experience in design and construction and experience delivering projects within the sectors of hospitality, higher education, co-working spaces, food and beverage, and many others. Chris initially received his bachelor’s in architecture from Penn State University and has been a licensed architect in the State of New York since 2017. He moved on from his early years in traditional architecture firms after finding his passion within construction project management and jumping into a role in owner-side construction management. Chris initially started his owner-side construction management journey with a European vertical farming start-up. While there he helped establish six production facilities throughout the US and Canada.
Chris’s most recent role was as a Design Manager/Project Manager for citizenM Hotels, where he made a significant impact. He oversaw projects in California, Massachusetts, and Washington D.C., managing the design and construction of several new-build projects. Notably, he took the initiative to update the company’s processes, leading to cost reductions and improved construction quality.
Chris is a self-proclaimed urbanist who enjoys visiting cities all over the world and experiencing their life and culture. He can usually be found riding a bike or a train to his next destination, always taking the beaten path. When he is not working, he is likely to go on a hike or play a game of beach volleyball with his longtime friends.
